Last night we released an update to Igloo to perform some spring cleaning, fix some bugs in the platform, and build out additional infrastructure to support the growth of third party integrations.

It is half way through the Canadian winter so it is time for us to check in on our extended family. We'll be taking this long weekend to dig our various aunts and cousins out of snowbanks and build some actual igloos.

Last night, an update was released to improve the platform by increasing performance, add incremental new features and functionality, and to make it easier to make your Igloo your own.
Here's what we've been working on:
Improved page load times - We've made numerous improvements to the way content on a page is cached in our platform. With these changes, you will experience faster page load performance, quicker updates, and a higher fidelity experience as a result.
New Branding Improvements -…
We are upgrading and migrating the document storage solution to a next generation platform that will improve reliability, scalability and performance for all customers. The migration to the new platform will allow for improved system response and better performance for the storage and retrieval of documents in Igloo.
Maintenance date/time: Friday, February 5, 2016 - 9pm-12am
Impact: Recently uploaded files maybe inaccessible. During this maintenance and for up to 2 hours following the maintenance, files that are uploaded may not appear for download until the services are fully synchronized. As well, document and video previews will not be available for newly uploaded documents during this time. During this time, users will still be able to access the community.
An outline of the updates in the R.42 release
Last night, an update was released that implemented the groundwork for several enhancements, as well as incorporating a few fixes to the Igloo platform.

- Administrators of communities can now upload custom image sets to award as badges and ranks.
- Single sign on via SAML 2.0 now supports Sha-2.

Igloo services will be temporarily offline in all regions on January 12, 2016 between 10:00pm and 2:00am EST.
Early in the new year, we will be launching a platform upgrade that's focused on making Igloo even better as we get ready for exciting new changes coming in 2016. This upgrade makes the platform more scalable and also to support integrations to the platform that will be launching in Q1. In the spirit of continuous improvement, we also are including a number of bug fixes in this release. For more information about the upgrade, click here.
