Symptoms

The Sync fails and produces a log line that includes the following:

Unhandled Exception: System.InvalidOperationException: There is an error in XML document (1, 36). ---> System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format.

Diagnosis 

A required value is missing in the config file. ie. There is a tag pair that does not enclose any information

Ex: 

<BaseDN></BaseDN>

• Check that all fields in the config have values
