Hi Donald  - Thank you for your feedback. Is your use case that you need X people to complete a task. Do you mind sharing the situation that prompted this idea.

There are a couple different ways we could approach the group tasks problem - we want to ensure we cover all the bases.

Thanks for responding. With regards to your question, we are using tasks for training purposes. So we create a task containing a link to a separate website with video tutorials. Some of the training tasks are mandatory and others optional. So we'd like to be able to assign a single compulsory training task to multiple users.

Hi Donald - that is a great use case for tasks! We are also using them for training and activities as part of onboarding staff here at Igloo. 

So in your case if you assigned a training task to Bob and Bill you would want the system to create a task for each one. As if you had manually created one for Bob and then one for Bill.

We would LOVE the ability to assign a task to multiple people. We use Igloo as an extranet to our member companies who then internally use it as an intranet, so this functionality would be extremely useful. 

Has any progress been made in this direction. 

Michael Mackuliak  any word on this enhancement? This would be useful for us also.

The enhancement is still in our backlog for our next task refresh. I would love to hear the use case/business process/pain that this would address for you. This helps us make sure we cover as many scenarios as possible. Is is something that you can share with the community or should I reach out offline?

Michael Mackuliak Any update on this feature request?  Our use case is that we want to identify a single task (like "turn in your signed insurance form") and assign it to all members of a particular group.

At the moment this item is not on our backlog for the remainder of the year. We are currently focusing on improvements of our publishing experience and you will start to see updates to our editors for content creation and comments.

Hello Michael Mackuliak‍, has this feature been reconsidered for 2017? It would be a very useful community feature for us (and it seems like, several others)

H‍i April Kitchen‍ - this feature is not currently on our roadmap for 2017 as we are focusing on improving more heavily-used aspects of the Igloo platform including publishing, notifications and search. That said, we'll continue to monitor the desire for this feature as we build out our roadmap into the longer term.

F‍YI Kristy Campbell‍ ‍- this is also something that eNett is keen on for our onboarding process (and I'm sure we'll have other uses). At the moment we are not using any tasks at all and will have to continue to wait until this feature is released before we add this section to our community. It would certainly be a valuable addition.
