We've heard some reports lately of folks trying to sign in to an Igloo Community, but finding that the "Sign In" button is completely unresponsive. After much investigation, we've found that there is a common element in many of these cases. That common element is a collection of browser add ons called Spigot.
Spigot makes custom toolbars and search bars for various websites, that can be added to your browser. They make toolbars for various companies, so you might see something like an Amazon or EBay shopping assistant, among others. Strictly speaking, these toolbars are not mailcious, but they have some creative ways of giving third parties access to data that they are not particularly upfront about giving away. (For more information on that, check out this link on How to Remove Spigot Toolbars.)
What this means for Igloo users is that it can interfere with the Javascript on the signin page, causing the Sign in button to be completely non-responsive. If you're not sure if a user has one of these addons, try disabling all the addons in all browsers, and enabling them one at time. If you find one that is messing with the signin page, please let us know!
