As part of our upcoming summer release, we're excited to unveil a fresh new look for the Igloo interface. We've kept all of the functionality that you are familiar with, but we've improved the ease of navigation when you're viewing content, particularly within the mobile experience.
The initial focus of this upgrade is the look and feel of the content area, including blogs, calendars, file sharing, forums, wikis and, our newest app, tasks.
The first thing you'll notice is a tabbed interface, which will give you quick access to your social data from anywhere on the screen. You can view the comment count, see any tasks associated with the content and skip between the content and conversation directly from the top of the page. You can also control the look and feel of the tab bar (let us know if you would like help matching this to your design).
The second big change is the relocation of our actions menu into a new More icon, with all the regular edit, delete, view activity, versions, settings, change permissions options you are familiar with. We've moved this from the top right-hand corner into the tabbed interface to make it easy-to-see and much more accessible.
When you land on one of the redesigned pages, you will notice the social data and new actions menu blend naturally with the content as tabs. The actions will remain in the triangle menu throughout the rest of your Igloo, but this will be updated in upcoming releases.
Finally, we're excited to bring in snap and lock scrolling on content pages. As you scroll past a certain point, you will notice the header bar will reshape and lock to the top of your page. As you scroll back up, the header will "un-stick" and you'll find the same layout as when the page first loaded. Clicking on any of the tabs will anchor you to that area.
Our new content view is designed to make it easier to foster interaction and participation around content, both on the desktop and on the go. In subsequent releases we'll be making additional enhancements to the content view, stay tuned for details.
What do you think of tasks? How about the new tabbed design?

Thumb Up!
Saw a preview of the tabbed interface today-looking really good! For spaces, does the action button also get a facelift? It's still appearing as a small, triangle in the upper right corner... which I thought was the opportunity you were looking to optimize?
This update only affects the action button on content (blogs, files, etc.) replacing it with the more tab.
Revamping the action button throughout the platform is definitely on the map, but we're rolling out those changes a bit at a time to ensure robust functionality and not to confuse our users too much.
Got it, thanks Ryan.
Will we be getting a webinar or release notes before the release?
