This article will provide you with a detailed listing of the features and changes coming in our latest release.
This update has been implemented to all Igloo Communities effective Saturday, February 5th 2011.
Updates to Forums
The forums application will be taking on a new appearance and functionality. We will be introducing new topic types which include discussions, questions, problems and suggestions. With this change also comes the ability to mark a comment as an answer when the topic is a question. Topics identified as ideas will allow for members to click a "I like this idea!" button. This same behaviour is present on all other topic types. With our new topic types there will be further filter types available when viewing all your questions, ideas, problems or discussions. This will allow you to filter all your questions by "need answer," "answered," "recent" or "frequently asked"
Broadcasts
The ability to broadcast when creating a blog post, forum, wiki and calendar event is now available. In the past, it was required to post content then view and select broadcast from the trailer bar. The same option is still available, however you will now have the added convenience of doing this when posting.
Gallery Application
The gallery application will be receiving a similar type of functionality and presentation as the documents application. The gallery will have a detailed view and the ability to upload any file type to a folder in the gallery application.
Documents Application & Folders
Images can be set as folder covers as seen in the gallery. Folders which have images within provide slide-show capabilities when housed in the documents application. You can now set the display properties for specific folders, leaving other folders unaffected.
Invitations
Expiring Invitations will now notify the administrator who issued the invite, five days prior to the expiry date (30 days). A notice to invited users will also be sent as a reminder that their invite is going to expire.
Editor (Inserting Images)
When inserting an image using the editor we now have a enhanced interface for uploading, selecting community added photos or browsing images you have uploaded as a member.
Search Results Page & Label Browse
The search results page will include labels at the bottom of the page which can be selected to filter your search term by label. The results will allow for multiple labels to be selected.

Thanks guys, this is great stuff! One request for Broadcasts: Let us use html in the message! Even better - how about RSS to Broadcast campaigns? (a la Mail Chimp!). Keep up the great work.

Was the option to make a topic sticky removed from forums?
Hello,
When categories were removed from the forums so was the ability to sticky a forum. This feature would bring a forum to the top of a category. Instead we offer the use of enhanced search and multiple sort options to navigate the forums. Thank you for your question.
When will the Reporting feature be availabe?
