We've made a couple of big updates in order to make your mobile experience better. We've designed a more streamlined, elegant and efficient experience that crosses all platforms with ease - desktop, tablet, phone.
You've already figured out the best site architecture and user experience for your Igloo during set up, and we feel this experience should carry across all platforms. It should be familiar and intuitive from the moment a user logs in. With this in mind, you'll see some changes to how our app is structured; the latest version more closely resembles the desktop experience.
Our native app now serves as a wrapper for your responsive layout, launching the full community as an in-app experience. Responsive web design ensures that your community retains your customized structure, widget layouts and design, offering the very best experience for your users.
Igloo Mobile is available for iOS (iOS 7 and above), Android (Android 4.x and above)*, and BlackBerry (BlackBerry 10 and above). You can also access your Igloo from any mobile browser.
Responsive design must be enabled in your control panel in order to use the app to its greatest potential. If you need any help in setting this up, or in optimizing your Igloo for mobile, contact your account manager.
*Please note that Android users must re-install the app for the latest update.

Anyone experiencing issues with the app crashing? I'm using the iOS app and after I enter my community name and hit next, it crashes.
Hi Mike,
Are you entering the http:// or https:// of the URL there? If so, give it a try without.
If that doesn't have you sorted out, fire off an email to support@igloosoftware.com and we'll check it out!
Removing the prefix did the trick. Thank you!
I have aksed 10 members of my community test both the iPhone and Android Mobile App. In general the response is very positive. There are two common recommendation for enhancement that my users would like to suggest that you may wish to consider.
(1) extend the application time-out feature. It seems that the app times out frequently and users are then required to re-enter their logon credentials. While this is not a show stopper, it is rather annoying.
(2) enhance message notification. Users indicate that they can not easily determine when they receive a new message via the mobile app. Ideally, users would like to receive an audio notification and/or a text update on the mobile app screen.
I hope the above is helpful.
I have tried using the new mobile app but unfortunately it's not recognising our community name - I am entering the correct name without the http: etc... but still nothing. I have also clicked the Response Design feature on the control panel of the desktop version. Can you advise please?
Hi Claire,
This sounds like something that we'll need to take a closer look into. Fire off an email with your community's address and the details of the issue to support@igloosoftware.com and we'll see what we can do.
Hello Clair,
The thing that jumps out at me right away is that your team member is using an iPhone 4.
What is the iOS version that they are running on their iPhone. If the version is less than version 7 then they might have issues. Ask them to provide you with a screen capture of their iOS version.
The app closing is likely due to a typo in the URL or an https:// at the front of the URL.
Sean may be correct about the iOS version, though we haven't heard of the behavior you are seeing. If he continues to have issues, shoot in a ticket to support@igloosoftware.com and we'll do a deeper dive on it with you.
