As part of our Wolf release coming up on Friday, July 31, we are proud to announce that the Igloo Desktop App is now available for public consumption.
The Igloo Desktop App is an extension of Microsoft Windows Explorer and is used to display Igloo work areas as folders and files on your computer. What you normally do with a file or folder inside your Igloo (i.e. upload, download, move, rename, reserve) can now be performed from your desktop via the Desktop App.
The Desktop App also enables inline edit functionality. To edit a file in the web application, click Edit Now in the preview window to open the file in its native program (e.g. Microsoft Word). Once you save your changes, a new version will be automatically uploaded to the community, without requiring a download to your desktop.
The Igloo Desktop App is available for Microsoft Windows operating systems.
You can download the Desktop App from support.igloosoftware.com/desktop. Installation instructions can be found here.
Older versions of the Desktop App will not work with the Wolf release.
The Desktop App must be activated in your client package. If you encounter any problems, please contact support@igloosoftware.com.

is there any plan to add an OS X version of the Desktop app?
Thank you Mike and Donald for your question and feedback.
There is no time frame, but there will be a future platform release that can support an OS X client.
