Here inside the Igloo, we are committed every day to delivering the best experience possible to you, our valued customers. With the announcement in January that Microsoft is discontinuing support for Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) and Internet Explorer 10 (IE10), we are following suit and discontinuing support for both browsers in the Igloo platform. This is a necessary decision to keep pace with the innovation that you have come to expect from Igloo.
As a customer, you will realize some immediate benefits by upgrading to a newer browser. As Microsoft and other vendors continue to evolve web browsing technologies, you will enjoy a faster and more dynamic experience in your Igloo community along with new features and functionality that are enabled in part by these new innovations.
We understand that you may have some questions around this end of support notice – we're here to listen and help you.
When does IE9 and IE10 support end?
Igloo will be ending support for the IE9 browser on August 24, 2016 and the IE10 browser on October 19, 2016. We understand that changing browsers can be a large task, which is why we have extended support for both browsers beyond Microsoft's original EOL date of January 12, 2016. In addition, we are committing resources internally to ensure that your transition to an updated browser is as seamless as possible.
What does "end of support" mean?
End of support for products used to access the Igloo platform, such as Internet browsers, means that Igloo no longer tests the platform on these products or provides fixes and updates to address issues related to these products. As of the dates mentioned above, Igloo will not actively address issues related to both IE9 and IE10 browsers.
What browser should I upgrade to?
If your company still runs IE9 or IE10, we strongly recommend upgrading to the newest version, Internet Explorer 11, or the latest version of another supported browser. For your reference, Igloo also works well with Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari browsers.
