With our latest release, we continue to move forward with a great new publishing experience and significant improvements to navigation in the platform.
Dynamic Navigation Drop-downs
We are excited to share the news that we have made a very common customization a core feature of our product. With dynamic drop-downs, there is no longer a need for customization or coding to enable flyout menus. When this feature is enabled in your community, drop-downs will appear automatically for navigation items at the community or space level. For community and space administrators, this means that navigation is built right in - and it's fully configurable. The new navigation is dynamic and automatically adjusts as you scale out your Igloo community.
You can opt to use the new dynamic navigation or keep your existing customizations - the choice is entirely up to you. If you are a customer with existing drop-downs, we are pleased to offer a migration path for you to take advantage of the new dynamic drop-downs in your community. Please contact customer support to enable these features in your community.
Skype for Business Support in Profiles
A modern intranet is all about connecting people to people, and we continue to look for ways to make it easier for you to connect in Igloo. WIth Skype for Business support in Igloo profiles, we've made it easy to find and communicate with anyone in your organization in just a matter of clicks. Simply click on Skype for Business in a user's profile to start a conversation.
Improved Tasks Experience
You've asked and we've listened. As a part of building a great new publishing experience in the platform, we've rolled out a beautiful new editor in tasks. This is a preview of what we have in store across the entire Igloo platform - a simple and elegant way of creating content in the platform. With the tasks update, you can describe the task using rich content - tables, embedded video and links, and even emoji.
