This will be our second release within the month of June, and it will be bringing a new version of Igloo Mobile (1.4) and a number of bug fixes and enhancements for the web.

• You'll experience enhanced performance and a smoother user experience on Igloo Mobile when logging in and loading your feed, and a NEW notifications tab within the app summarizing all mentions.
• There are also a number of improvements for the web too; new versions of the Zendesk, Slack, and Org Chart widgets; and we squashed a pile of bugs.

Did you mention me?

We all get bombarded with messages from multiple sources, and with varying degrees of relevance. This is truly what makes "the mention" one of the most valuable methods for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of our communications. When you mention someone in a communication (by simply adding the @ symbol before their name), they can immediately determine the message's relevance to them and whether or not they need to take action.

Notification Tab for Mentions  To improve user's productivity – and the efficiency and effectiveness of communications on mobile – we are introducing a separate feed to summarize a user's mentions.  The new mentions feed is being introduced as a separate tab on the home screen of the app and will present users with an unread notification count.  This makes it easy for users to quickly triage their messages at a glance, and focus in on the messages that require their attention, or action.

Enhanced mobile performance and user experience

Users will be delighted by the performance and UX enhancements we've made to the mobile app in this release.

Offline Content With this update, users will no longer need to wait for their feed to be populated when opening the app and will have access to previously downloaded content when they are offline. And it saves on mobile data usage as well.  Cached data is encrypted and stored in a secure, persistent data store to keep your information protected. Automatic Feed Refresh Users will no longer need to manually refresh their feed to access the latest content, providing a continuously up-to-date view of their messages.  The feed is now designed to update itself with new content each time the app is brought to the foreground. Automatic Session Renewal This release extends the automatic session renew capability to those authenticating with SAML, eliminating the need for users to re-enter their credentials each time they open the application.  Now, all supported authentication methods have this capability, providing a simple and convenient authentication experience for all customers.
